  1. I’ve set up 2 P4500′s for work, and think the SAN/IQ platform is very good. I’ve been trying to find out though, can you just download the SAN/IQ platform by itself?

    I know you can use VSA to build an ESX virtual SAN, but I want to install the SAN/IQ software on physical servers with internal storage and manage them with the CMC to cluster the internal storage together.

    (Basically build a P4000 without using HP hardware)

  2. They used to have this option several years ago but it is no longer available (discontinued). The only option that’s close to what you mentioned is the VSA, like you stated.
