I have this issue and tried running as admin and it worked. However, I'm running on Windows 2008 server, and there doesn't seem to be a straight method for disabling the UAC. I can disable things like Elevate without prompting for admin accounts, but this did not work. Any suggestions?

At least I'm making progress. I'm sure I'm on the right track. Thanks for the helpful post!

Server platform is 2008 x64, NOT R2. R2 is not currently supported for the VCB proxy, and per VMware support there are known issues with R2.

Yes, UAC is enabled by default on Server 2008.

I guess I didn't realize that UAC was enabled in Win2k8.. Was the 2k8 system R2? Just curious if R2 changes the UAC behavior (like Win7 did from Vista).. Stinks though that UAC is "on" in the server platform.. yikes.
